Referral and Provision of Services We are currently responding to the high level of need within the group of young often unaccompanied young people who may require age assessments to assist in the application for asylum and other services. Our services are based on three levels:- Services to Social Services and Statutory Authorities:- We are able to provide full assessment including age assessment and assessment of needs / risks. These are billed at our usual rates. Services to Children and Youth with special needs:- Special needs children and youth may require assessment in terms of needs and risk including psychological assessment perhaps related to traumatic experiences. These assessments generally require more than one interview and are usually billed at our usual rates. Services to Refugee Organisations:- We are able to provide an age assessment service on a sliding scale of rates. Appointments are generally available at short notice and we are aware of the funding restrictions of voluntary organisations dealing with asylum seekers. Repeat assessment of age ; second opinions and more complex reports are charged at our normal rates. A very important study has just been concluded - thanks to those who helped. The results are available in our book - 'Asylum Seeking Children; Including Adolescent Development and the Assessment of Age ' . Information for referring agencies -
